uploading images

here's a little test. i ran this at 500 pixels, 150dpi which was a 244k file. not big at all. it took a short spell to fire up, but not a very long wait at all.

let's try to keep things consistent in our uploads. make the width for all files 500 pixels, and keep the resolution at 72 or 150.
